Purpose

Custom and Prescriptive applications in the Commercial Construction Program are eligible to be counted toward contract totals. Only paid Prescriptive and/or Custom customer applications with total customer rebates greater than or equal to $500.00 will count towards

a contractor’s total number of annual projects. The contractor must have at least two paid Prescriptive applications in a given calendar year to be eligible to receive a contractor incentive. The total incentive any one contractor can receive in a calendar year is $15,000.  The participant agrees that LIPA obtains and/or retains ownership of all rights to existing and future emissions credits, renewable energy credits, green tags, tradable renewable certificates, and/or any and all other environmental benefits associated with the installation of eligible equipment.

Eligibility

Contractors and energy service companies (ESCOs) who install equipment for LIPA electric customers and who participate in the program.
