Residential Efficiency & Affordability Programs
Purpose
NYSERDA’s Residential Efficiency and Affordability Programs are designed to help homeowners and renters reduce their energy costs and multifamily building owners provide energy-efficient apartments for their tenants and provide training to contractors on how to provide quality energy efficiency services to their neighbors. NYSERDA’s Residential Efficiency and Affordability Programs are competitive and program participation must meet the requirements in the solicitations listed below.
Eligibility
To be eligible, facilities must contribute to the System Benefits Charge (SBC) and meet the requirements of the competitive solicitations detailed below.
Multifamily Building Performance Program
- Purpose: An opportunity for businesses providing energy efficiency services to multifamily buildings.
New York ENERGYSTAR® Products Program
- Purpose: To seek retail, distribution and manufacturing partners that sell ENERGY STAR products in New York State to assist in promoting energy efficiency, and awareness and sales of ENERGY STAR labeled appliances and lighting products to consumers, builders, contractors and multifamily building owners and management companies.
- Eligibility: The program provides training to retail and manufacturing partners and provides point of purchase (POP) material, promotional videos, and other help as needed. Incentives are available to retail and manufacturing partners to encourage and assist in ENERGY STAR product promotions and advertising campaigns.
