Small Business Technology Investment Fund (SBTIF)
Purpose
This
program provides direct venture
capital investments to early stage high
technology companies, and offers technical
assistance to companies through the
University resources available through
NYSTAR’s statewide network.
The SBTIF also has invested in two
Regional Seed Funds and works to foster
seed investing in collaboration with Angel
and other interested regional investors.
SBTIF often partners with other venture
firms when making investments, and will
provide technical assistance to start up
companies even if SBTIF does not make a
direct investment.
Eligibility
Interested companies should contact NYSTAR directly or fill out an application on NYSTAR’s website.
